The Learning Tree Preschool

COME TOUR THE LEARNING TREE
NOW ACCEPTING ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS

A preschool that prepares children for the elementary education environment.

We believe children need many opportunities to play, experience, explore, discover and practice in a safe, child-centered environment.  We respect the child's need for both nurturing and independence, quiet and active play, time alone and in-group endeavors.  We aim to meet these needs by providing opportunities for the children to participate in a variety of activities.

  • Daily routine and rhythm

  • Structured events such as listening to stories, group music, cooperative games, arts and crafts, science projects, including an outdoor garden area

  • Development of social skills that help them function well in a group setting as well as listening and sharing skills, respect for each other and learn to solve conflicts with teacher guidance regarding acceptable models of behavior

  • Time for child-initiated choice time to explore activities such as tactile and sensory explorations, puzzles, games, dramatic play, riding toys, and water play
